Barrick Quarry is a limestone quarry that has been in continuous operation since 1874 and is conveniently located on LeGore Bridge Road in Woodsboro, MD. We offer an extensive line of high quality aggregates including, grade stone, rip-rap, sand and gravel products. Our experienced sales and dispatch staff work tirelessly to provide superior service to a large portion of Central Maryland.
We also have two full time Maryland State Certified Quality Control Technicians to ensure that our crushed stone, sand and gravel products meet and/or exceed all Maryland Department of Transportation and AASHTO specifications. We supply materials for many of the area's largest concrete and asphalt producers, as well as commercial and residential projects of all sizes. Beaver Creek Quarry began operations with S.W. Barrick & Sons in June of 2018 and supplies quality limestone products to Washington County and the surrounding areas in MD, WV and PA. The quarry has been in operation since 1965 when it was owned |
and operated by H.B. Mellott Estates, with the Mellott Family entering the quarrying business in the late 1930's with the construction of the Pennsylvania Turnpike.The quarry is easily accessible from I-70 in Hagerstown, MD, with material available for customer pickup or delivery upon request.
Finksburg Terminal provides high quality Maryland Department of Transportation and AASHTO certified aggregates to the Baltimore and Carroll County regions. Located on Emory Road in Finksburg, MD, our convenient site is easily accessed from MD 140, I-695 and I-795. We offer quick and easy pick up of materials and delivery is also available upon request. Laurel Hill Quarry, also in Woodsboro, MD, is our newest, state of the art quarry, with sales beginning in the Spring of 2021. The plant has the capacity to produce over 2 million tons annually and currently sales are ramping up as market exposure increases. |
